# How To Guides

Welcome to the Cryptoix Help Center! Here you'll find guides and explanations to help you get the most out of our cryptocurrency payment solutions.

## Setting Up a New Payment Method

Accepting cryptocurrency payments is easy with Cryptoix. Follow these steps to set up your first payment method:

1. **Log in to your Cryptoix Merchant Dashboard.**
2. Navigate to the **Settings** section.
3. Click on **Payment Methods**.
4. Click the **Add New Payment Method** button.
5. **Select the cryptocurrency** you wish to accept (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin).
6. **Save** your new payment method.

**Tip:** You can set up multiple payment methods for different cryptocurrencies to offer your customers more options.

## Creating and Managing Invoices

Invoices allow you to request specific cryptocurrency payments from your customers.

### Creating an Invoice

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### From your Cryptoix dashboard, go to the **Invoices** section.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click **Create New Invoice**.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Fill in the invoice details:

* **Customer Information:** Name, email (optional).
* **Amount:** The total amount due.
* **Currency:** The fiat currency the amount is based on (e.g., USD, EUR).
* **Cryptocurrency:** The cryptocurrency the customer will pay in. Cryptoix will automatically calculate the equivalent amount based on the current exchange rate.
* **Description:** A brief note about the payment.
* **Due Date:** When the invoice should be paid by.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click **Create Invoice**.

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Managing Invoices

In the **Invoices** section, you can view the status of all your invoices (e.g., Pending, Paid, Expired). You can:

* **View Invoice Details:** Click on an invoice to see all transaction information.
* **Send Invoice:** Share the invoice link with your customer via email or message.
* **Cancel Invoice:** If the payment is no longer needed.
* **Resend Invoice:** To remind a customer about an outstanding payment.

**Example:** You can create an invoice for $50 USD, payable in BTC. Cryptoix will show the customer the current BTC equivalent. The exchange rate is typically locked for a set period (e.g., 15 minutes) after the invoice is generated. This locked rate applies to the base invoice amount. Please note that blockchain network fees, which are separate from the invoice amount, may be deducted from the customer's payment as described in the 'Understanding Transaction Fees' section.

## Processing Payouts

Transferring your cryptocurrency funds out of Cryptoix is straightforward.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Navigate to the **Payouts** section in your dashboard.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click **Request Payout**.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### **Select the cryptocurrency** you want to withdraw.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### **Enter the amount** you wish to withdraw.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### **Provide your wallet address** for the selected cryptocurrency.

Double-check this address for accuracy, as cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. You can manage your saved withdrawal addresses in the **Settings > Payouts** section of your dashboard.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Review the transaction details, including any applicable fees.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click **Confirm Payout**.

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

**Tip:** For security, you may need to complete a two-factor authentication step before confirming the payout. Ensure your withdrawal address is saved correctly in your **Settings > Payouts** section to avoid errors.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click **Save Changes**.

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

**Tip:** A consistent brand experience across your website and payment pages builds trust with your customers.

## Understanding Transaction Fees

Cryptoix charges fees for processing cryptocurrency transactions. These fees help us maintain and secure the network.

* **Processing Fee:** A percentage of each successful transaction. This fee is charged by Cryptoix.
* **Network Fee (Gas Fee):** For certain blockchain transactions, a fee is required to compensate the network validators/miners. This fee is paid to the blockchain network itself, not to Cryptoix. The amount can vary based on network congestion. **This network fee is typically deducted from the amount the customer pays, reducing the final amount you receive, or it may be presented as an additional cost to the customer at checkout, depending on the integration.**

You can always find the most up-to-date fee schedule in the **Pricing** section of our website or within your dashboard's **Settings**.

**Example:** If you accept a payment of $100 USD, payable in BTC, and the Cryptoix processing fee is 0.5%, Cryptoix will deduct $0.50. The blockchain network fee for that transaction might be an additional small amount (e.g., $0.10), depending on the cryptocurrency and current network conditions. This network fee would be deducted from the BTC sent by the customer, meaning you would receive slightly less than $100 USD worth of BTC.

**Tip:** Review the fee structure before integrating to ensure it aligns with your business model. We strive to offer competitive and transparent fees.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.cryptoix.io/how-to-guides.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
